How can existing block storage be used effectively as shared storage for a <strong>Proxmox VE cluster<\/strong>, and what options exist beyond the well-known solutions?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In two presentations, Florian Hoberg (credativ) presents approaches from practice and from our own development:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LVM Thin as Shared Storage on Block Storage<\/strong><br\/>LVM Thin offers thin provisioning and snapshots, but is not actually intended for shared access by multiple nodes. The presentation shows how LVM Thin can nevertheless be used as shared storage on block storage, what needs to be considered, and where the limits lie.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CetraFS \u2013 a new cluster file system with a focus on Proxmox VE<\/strong><br\/>CetraFS is a new cluster file system being developed specifically for use with Proxmox VE. Florian presents the idea, architecture, and current status of the project.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afterwards, there will be time for questions, discussion, and networking. The Virtualization Gathering is aimed at everyone who operates or plans virtualization environments or is simply interested in the topic.
