Open Source Virtualization Meetup #4: Exchange, Practical Insights & Networking

Following the success of previous editions, our Virtualization Meetup is entering its next phase! On September 24, 2026, we cordially invite IT decision-makers, system administrators, and open-source enthusiasts to the fourth edition of our meetup in Mönchengladbach.

Whether it’s Proxmox, Ceph, Kubernetes infrastructures, or the management of distributed systems – this event focuses on practical, vendor-independent exchange. In addition to technical deep dives, the evening offers the perfect opportunity to network in a relaxed atmosphere and discuss current trends in digital sovereignty.

Highlight Topic & Speaker Teaser:

For this edition, we have already secured a particularly exciting practical topic: Our colleague Florian Hoberg (gyptazy) will give a technical presentation on a VDI solution for Proxmox VE with Auto-Scaling. He will demonstrate in a practical way how flexible, scalable desktop infrastructures can be implemented and efficiently managed on Proxmox.

Preliminary Schedule:

• 5:00 PM – Doors Open & Get-together
  Arrive at the credativ office, enjoy specialty coffees, and make initial contacts.
• Approx. 5:15 PM onwards – Welcome & Technical Keynote
  VDI for Proxmox VE with Auto-Scaling – Florian Hoberg (credativ GmbH)
• Afterwards – Open Discussion & Networking
  Exchange of experiences and open questions from daily project work in the office.
• Closing – Joint Dinner
  For a pleasant end to the evening, we will then move on together to a nearby Italian restaurant (at your own expense).
