FrOSCon 2026 in Sankt Augustin

The Free and Open Source Software Conference – FrOSCon for short – is entering its 21st round. Every year in late summer, the campus of the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg in Sankt Augustin transforms into a meeting point for the open-source community: two intensive days of talks, workshops, and project rooms all about Free Software and Open Source.

credativ is participating again this year as a sponsor and will be represented by a team at the exhibitor booth. We see FrOSCon for what it is: an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and collectively experience what is currently moving the open-source world.

On the first day, Alexander Wirt will give a presentation on Proxmox and its interaction with external block devices. Find out whether these are more of a curse or a blessing. Alexander will provide deep insights into the topic and their use in Proxmox environments.

What is FrOSCon?

FrOSCon is organized by the Department of Computer Science at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg together with FrOSCon e.V. The program is aimed at everyone who uses, wants to learn about, or develops Free Software – from beginners to experienced contributors. Various tracks cover a wide range of topics. A social event on Saturday evening rounds off the program.

As a long-standing open-source service provider, FrOSCon 2026 is more than just a conference for credativ – it is part of our community. We look forward to being there again.
