PostgreSQL user group NRW visits credativ in Mönchengladbach

We are very pleased to be hosting the 5th PostgreSQL User Group NRW Meetup – in our new offices right next to Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach!

After a few eventful years, we are not only celebrating an exciting community event, but also our own comeback: credativ GmbH is back – independent, committed, and with renewed vigor. As part of the PostgreSQL community since 1999, we have been involved in many developments. Following our acquisition by Instaclustr (2021) and later NetApp (2022), we became an independent company again in March 2025 through a management buyout.

The meetup will take place in the tried-and-tested tradition with high-caliber presentations, exciting discussions, and plenty of networking opportunities. The agenda will follow shortly – but one thing is certain: it will be a great evening for all PostgreSQL enthusiasts!

Whether you are a long-standing community member or a curious newcomer, join us as we celebrate the return of credativ GmbH and celebrate PostgreSQL.

Peter Dreuw has been working for credativ GmbH since 2016 and has been a team lead since 2017. Since 2021, he has been part of Instaclustr’s management team as VP Services. Following the acquisition by NetApp, his new role became “Senior Manager Open Source Professional Services”. As part of the spin-off, he became a member of the executive management as an authorized signatory. His responsibilities include leading sales and marketing. He has been a Linux user from the very beginning and has been running Linux systems since kernel 0.97. Despite extensive experience in operations, he is a passionate software developer and is also well versed in hardware-near systems.
