This December, we are launching the very first Open Source Virtualization Meeting, also known as the Open Source Virtualization Gathering!
Join us for an evening of open exchange on virtualization with technologies such as KVM, Proxmox, and XCP-ng.
The meeting on 11 December 2025 will take place at the premises of credativ GmbH in Mönchengladbach:

We will take care of the drinks during the first part. Afterwards, those who would like to can join us for food and further drinks at the Italian restaurant La Cottoneria (self-payment). The lectures will be held at least partially in English. The discussion is of course open to everyone.
This marks the beginning of a new series of community-driven meetings – help shape it from the start! If you are interested in giving a presentation, please contact us. We will periodically host such events with exciting presentations, and we hope that an Open Source Virtualization regulars’ table might develop from this. We already had a kind of pilot with the
Registration for this first event is handled via Meetup.com. If you wish to participate, please click the “Attend” button on meetup.com.
Attention: Unfortunately, the Meetup.com platform, which we have chosen for the organization, is known for pushing new users to take out a subscription (Meetup+) and unnecessarily complicating the registration process. A subscription is not necessary and participation in our event is of course free of charge. The sometimes private questions from Meetup can be skipped. We do not collect this data and have no access to it. We only need a name and, if applicable, the email address.
We will be looking for an alternative booking tool for the further event series.

Peter Dreuw arbeitet seit 2016 für die credativ GmbH und ist seit 2017 Teamleiter. Seit 2021 ist er Teil des Management-Teams als VP Services der Instaclustr. Mit der Übernahme durch die NetApp wurde seine neue Rolle "Senior Manager Open Source Professional Services". Im Rahmen der Ausgründung wurde er Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung als Prokurist. Sein Aufgabenfeld ist die Leitung des Vertriebs und des Marketings. Er ist Linux-Nutzer der ersten Stunden und betreibt Linux-Systeme seit Kernel 0.97. Trotz umfangreicher Erfahrung im operativen Bereich ist er leidenschaftlicher Softwareentwickler und kennt sich auch mit hardwarenahen Systemen gut aus.
